The Final Screaming Trees Album “Last Words” Now Available On Cd Or Digital Download

Between the winter and summer months of 1998-99, Seattle band Screaming Trees recorded their last batch of songs before disbanding in June of 2000. Those final sessions, produced by Trees drummer Barrett Martin, feature guest appearances by REM’s Peter Buck and QOTSA/Trees guitarist Josh Homme. The album was recently mixed by the band’s longtime friend, Jack Endino, and was released on Barrett’s label, Sunyata Records. Taking Punk To The Massess

The music exhibit “Taking Punk To The Masses”, of which Barrett Martin is one of the narrators, has officially opened in Seattle at the EMP Museum and there is even a book with a DVD that tells the story directly with the words of America’s first wave of punk, alternative, and grunge musicians.
